Why aren't my iPads charging?

I have 2 ipads that are not charging

I brought 2 Ipads from BIG W Capalaba and they are not charging the chargers work perfectly on my phone but not on the Ipads

Were they in the OEM packaging, sealed, etc? If not - the chargers may not be the OEM that came with them in the first place and they don't produce enough amperage to charge an iPad... or you could have defective cable(s)...
