Appstore wont accept password?

Trying to update apps and it wont accept my password. I confirmed its correct by going into settings, itunes/appstore, and apple ID. Could it be because these are apps from an earlier apple account?. Figured would work fine as they downloaded from itunes fine

You have to use the password of the earlier account, for those apps are downloaded with that account.

Then you have to delete those apps downloaded with that account and re-download with the new one.
