how could my daughter have blocked her school from calling me?

The contact shows a red blocked on my daughters school telephone number of course she's been tardy again how could she have blocked that number without my approval and I can't get it unblocked is there a master blocking from somewhere else?I went to settings and I unblocked it from there but it still shows a red blocked on the contact and I am unable to edit it

Welcome to iMore! Is there more than one number associated with the school? It would show on the contact info. If you unblocked the number in settings, it should now work. But check the contact for a second number.

What device is she blocking the number on? I don't see a red "blocked" on my iPhone when I block a contact. It just says "unblock contact" at the bottom. Does she have access to your carrier account? Could she have blocked it there?
