How do I delete individual texts on iPhone 5?

Trying to delete individual texts on iPhone 5

Would like to get rid of certain texts and not others in conversations

Tap and hold on the message bubble you wish to delete/edit. A box should pop up saying 'copy/more'. Tap more and you have the option to delete just that speech bubble.

Mine does not work all the time. Occasionally have to close message app to get it to work correctly.

Yeah, I've noticed that little glitch "once" since the 8.1.2 update, but I haven't had the time to set up my device as new like I normally do a couple of days after updating OTA.

Yeah, I've noticed that little glitch "once" since the 8.1.2 update, but I haven't had the time to set up my device as new like I normally do a couple of days after updating OTA.

I restored as new. Had no problems for awhile, but it returned. It only appears to happen if I try to use it "frequently". Not a huge issue with me.
