Can I erase things from my 4s and still have them on my iphone 6?

I'm trying to use my old phone as an ipod, but it does not have the space of my new 6 iphone. My 6 has 64GB, but I'm afraid the music will be sent to the cloud because the 4s does not have space for it. Can I remove things from the 4s without losing them on the 6?

Yes. You can delete apps from the 4s and they will remain on the 6.
