Why can't I edit calendar entries?

Why can't I edit calendar entries

iOS 8.1.1 iPhone 5s. I started using family sharing and now I can't edit calendar entries once I invite someone. If I want to change the time or date I have to delete the whole entry and redo it. If I sign out of iCloud it will work again. Any ideas?

I'll have to mess with mine a bit. Haven't had that issue.
