I read your article about waiting to upgrade my 3 year old MacBook Pro to Yosemite. Have I waited long enough or should I leave to the 10.7.5 that runs just perfect?

Ultimately, you'll have to make up your own mind... Yosemite is running fine on my MacBook Pro circa early 2008...

My 2009 MacBook Pro has slowed down slightly after the upgrade. All depends on the features you're looking to use.

It's up to you, but can tell you it's running great on my 2013 MacBook Air.

Apple is almost getting worse than windows in regards to backwards compatibility. Every time I upgrade the OS something else does not work. Now I can no longer use a bluetooth game controller on here it does not even recognize it, c'mon support pull your heads out.

If you haven't try a clean install of Yosemite and see if the controller is compatible with Yosemite or if the controller needs a firmware upgrade.
