On S steps on my health app it records only the day, why isn't it keeping a memory of the week or a month?

Ssteps on health app records only day. Same info shows for week, month etc.

While data changes day to day it doesn't accumulate the data from previous period [day week] so as to show up under "week" and 'month'.
