Is an IPAD AIR cover better than a case?

I was told that a case may cause it to over heat.

Most people I know have the Air in various types of cases with no overheating problems. Who told you that it would?

I guess it would depend on the case and that sort of thing. iPads don't generate very much heat at all when on standby. Really the only way to warm it up is by running a graphics intense app. Any Apple cover or reliable third party case (I use a ZaggKeys Folio) is not going to cause your iPad to overheat.

I have a back case and a Smart Cover and have no over heating issue
