When I delete message in iOS 8, the last date recorded does not delete, why?

when i delete message in ios 8, the last date recorded does not delete

example if i has a received a message on november 1st and then on november 14th,
before upgrade when i deleted november 14th the last recorded date was november 1st.
but even when i delete the message the time stamp still shows november 14th in my messages thread

I have the same problem also in iPhone 5s both with 8.1 and 8.1.1
