On my iPhone 4s iOS 8.1.1, how can I clear the Safari reading list?

iPhone 4s iOS 8.1.1 How can I clear Safari reading list?

Using Safari, can clear history, but can't get rid of reading list, some of which are not things I have read. Wonder if my phone has been hacked? How can I tell?

In safari, tap the Bookmarks icon next to the search bar... then tap the eyeglass icon... swipe-left on an item... select delete.
