Why is it taking so long to backup my photos

I have never backed up my photos and started last night(1400 photos). It said estimated time is 9 hours. Now 11 hours later it's telling me 12 more hours. Why???

Backing up that many photos takes time plus this backup is running off of your wifi or data. The estimated time is based on that & how large your photos are.
