    Default force empty trash on yosemite Mac

    tried emptying trash using terminal but failed because I had no password. How do I assign a password in the first place? Thanks. My gear is Macbook air 13", OS Yosemite

    You should have set up a administrator password when you set up the computer. Did you not do that?
