Can anyone help with some issues I am having sending a text from my new iPhone 6?

Having trouble texting from my new iPhone 6, help!

Immediately after I took out my new phone, I dropped my iPhone 4s on the floor and it promptly broke. The screen won't turn on at all, although I do know that it's still on due to its vibrations. I thought it wouldn't be a big deal, but when I tried to send out a text from my iPhone 6 it wouldn't work - when I checked the settings, under the Phone section it said that My Number was "Unknown". I have no idea how to get my number onto my new phone with the old one being broken, can anyone help? Thanks in advance

What carrier? What country?

Did you activate the SIM card in the new phone?

I think that you should call your provider, as in my opinion the problem is with the sim not with the phone
