Why happened to the message keyboard suggestions?

New iOS message keyboard

After I updated my iOS the message keyboard had suggestions for words as I typed....suddenly the suggestions are gone. Any ideas. Anyone?

You probably just closed the suggestion window. Look at the top of the keyboard and you should see a small horizontal mark. Swipe up on that mark to bring the suggestions back.
