How do I know if my battery is defective?

I've restored the phone, and even left it with nothing installed overnight (no apps, no sim card). It still died by the morning.

I changed the battery, and now I'm facing the same problem.

What could it be that is causing this ? It's driving me crazy.

what device are you using? You replaced the battery on your own?

Take it into an Apple Store and they will run a diagnostic. If you replaced the battery on your own, chances are they won't replace it. I replaced my battery with them and still saw pretty dismal usage after. It might be the phone that is defective.
