How do I permanently delete calendar events from ios8 iPhone. These are automatically added events and keep reinstating even after I delete them. Significant dates in Scotland. I'm in Australia so couldn't care less about Scotland! I don't want to see calendar events unless they are important to me!!

Open the calendar app and click calendars in the middle at the bottom. This will show your "subscribed" calendars.

Maybe you are subscribe to Scotland's holiday calendar?
