Why doesn't my iPhone 6 connect to Smartphone Charger and Mount

My Smartphone charger and Mount connected to my iPhone 4 but will not connect to my iPhone6. Do I need to and is it possible to update the device as it isn't 12months old yet.

it won't fit because the iPhone 4 uses a 30 pin connector and the 6 uses the lightening adapter- you can purchases an adapter Lightning to 30-pin Adapter - Apple Store (U.S.)
