Why have I lost my airplay button after an iOS 8 update?

i have lost my airplay button after an IOS 8 update

I have just updated my iphone 5 to IOS 8. As a result I have now lost my airplay button. I cannot play music to my airplay device which I was able to do via this phone before the update. Can someone help!

Make sure you are also connected to wifi, the same wifi as the AirPlay device.
