Which is better the Macbook Retina Pro 13 for HD streaming v Macbook Air?

Macbook Retina Pro 13 for HD streaming v Macbook Air

I'm considering the macbook air 13" or Retina Pro 13 and, as I spend a lot of time streaming/watching hd video I wanted to make sure the Retina can handle this without stutter.

I know it sounds like a silly question (as the screen is better on the Air) but is the 13" retina powerful to handle pushing all the extra pixels when streaming hd video?
