Wifi connection issues with Yosemite.

I have a Macbook Pro and connecting to internet using Wifi was no problem until I upgraded to Yosemite. Like so many I waited for the "fix". Yesterday I downloaded 10.10.1 and after some work, I got it to work for hours. Put the computer to sleep and upon awakening my computer this morning, no Wifi signal. I am told to move closer but my computer is barely 6 inches away. I "Network", when I use the drop down list for "Network Name", my name goes in for a split second and then it goes back to "No network selected." I have tried all I can. I have another MacBook Pro with OS 10.8 and it works great. It isn't Yosemite.
