Why iPod 5th generation doesn't have touch ID

I want iPhone 6 plus because I love apple products. Why i love iPhone so much is that it have fingure print scanner and apple pay which really useful.

Biggest reason the iPod touch doesn't have Touch ID is that it was introduced in 2012, a year before Touch ID was introduced.

Then why don't they ad it in the next software update then. Plus IPhone 5S came out before 5th generation ipod touch.

You can't just add TouchID via software, you need the appropriate hardware button.

Wrong. The iPhone 5s was released on September 20, 2013.

And as noted, the Touch ID requires HARDWARE. They can't add it with a software update.
