There is a temperature listing on the "pull down screen"

The temperature has not changed and does not reflect my area. The reading has not changed since I fist viewed this screen two weeks ago

Welcome to iMore! You need to open the stock weather app and add your location. Tap the + in the top right corner. Add your city.
