If there's any way to activate location-based reminders on iPad Air/iOS 8?

I recently bought and iPad Air 2, but I can't active location on reminders on iOS 8.1.1. I think it's very weird because I have an old MacBook Pro 13 2011 and I can create location based reminders there (OS X Mavericks and now..on Yosemite) without problems.

Tried to reboot, turn off/on iCloud reminders, quit app...but no positive results so far...any help/suggestions?

Make sure location services are enabled...
