Why isn't the Evernote app working on my 5th gen iPod Touch?

Evernote won't open on 5th Gen iPod - just updated evernote and now it doesn't work, I have tried removing to reload it - but in Apps I just get "will Remove" when I click Remove and it does not seem to disappear.

I don't know what to tell you. Evernote works as it should on my iPhone 5. What iOS version are you running? Have you tried rebooting your iPod? I'm assuming you're trying to remove it via iTunes. Have you tried removing it directly from the device itself?
