how to make a back from Iphone4 to Iphone6 while they are both registered in iTunes?

Hello ,
I just purchased a phone but did the mistake to register it as a new device in iTunes and I am not able to make the back up from the old iPhone to new. can you please advise?

Hook it up to your computer/iTunes and do a restore and pick the backup that you want to use. Or on the phone, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Contents & Settings and start over.

It doesn’t matter if both phones are still registered to iTunes.
