Why ins't my iPod preserving duplicate songs on sycn?

IPOD NOT preserving duplicate songs on sych

I cannot find a way to PRESERVE duplicate songs when I such my IPOD. Tons of info on deleting them, but I need the repetitive training cues (they were added the same as songs-so essentially are seen as songs on my laptop) and after I went to new IOS8, suddenly all the cues are deleted when I sych. Before the new IOS, they were preserved. Yikes! a training nightmare.
