How can I downgrade the new MacMini that is delivered with Yosemite to Mavericks?

how can I downgrade the new MacMini that is delivered with Yosemite to Mavericks?

I even tried to kill the drive and restart the MacMini from a Mavericks USB boot disk but it doesn't work.

I believe you can't downgrade lower than the version the machine is shipped with.
