IPhone 5s+ iPod touch 5+ IPad mini 2?

I own an iPhone 5s and iPod touch 5. Thinking of purchasing an iPad mini 2. Is owning all 3 an overkill? Suggestions?

Overkill? No. They are all different devices and can be used in different ways. The Mini 2 would be great for reading, videos and movies. That's what the Apple ecosystem is all about.

I have an iPhone 6 which is my go to for pretty much everything except when I'm home I use my mini for reading.

If they'll all serve a purpose in your workflow then I say owning all three is just fine for you

If you actually use all 3 then I'd say keep them. If you can cut down, for instance, using the iPhone as your iPod, just leave the iPod at home. That's what I do, and I find it's nice to use my iPhone as my iPod by keeping all my music and videos on it to save me from having to carry around 2 devices

I don't think it's overkill; I have an iPhone 5S, iPod touch 5th gen and a surface 2 but I use each differently. I use my surface 2 for watching/streaming TV shows and movies and browsing the web, my iPhone for my entire music library and high end games, and my iPod as an extra device for light apps and games.
