Why amI not getting a sim card message on my new iPhone 6+?

I am getting a no sim card message on my new iPhone 6+

I just got a brand-new iPhone six plush and I am getting a message that there is no shim card in the phone. I open the slot and it is empty but the Sim card from my old iPhone for *** is too big

The sims should be the same size. The drawers that hold them are different sizes.

The "No SIM" message is because there’s no SIM in the SIM tray. If the SIM that you have is the wrong size (there are actually 3 different sizes, though most recent phones use the nano SIM - the smallest), you need to head to your service provider's store and get a new one that fits in your device.
