Can I retrieve my data on my phone if I cannot turn it on?

my phone is not switching on and i can't do a backup or restore

I cant switch my phone on, it only goes on when plugged in and it comes up with the itunes logo and the charger. Ive tried to do a restore but it says that my phone cant be restored.

Welcome to iMore! Have you tried putting your phone in DFU mode to restore? I've never done it, so someone else will need to explain how. I might tell you wrong. Hopefully someone with that knowledge will be along soon. Until then, enjoy the site.
