I am planning to switch from a Windows Phone to iOS due to lack of updates of apps on WP. I am planning to go for iPhone 5C. Is it worth buying? I mean, i can hardly figure out difference between 5S and 5C. Is it worth ever penny ?

You are able to get some great deals on the iPhone 5s. I would consider it because when you resell it you'll get more money for the 5s than for the 5c.

Definitely get the 5S if you can afford it. Internals are way better than the 5C.

To add to that. The 5c is free for an 8gb phone. You might be able to get a 16gb or bigger 5c from the carriers.

I would recommend the 5s at 16gb at the minimum. That will give you some space and will last you for a few years. Plus it gives you TouchID that once you start using it you will be lost without it.

5s is better simply because of its 64 bit architecture. The 5c is only 32 bit, so by buying the 5s, you are kind of future proofing yourself.

Camera is also much better than the 5c's.

Walmart sells the 5s for 79.99, but I'm sure it could be cheaper else where. Sam's Club might be selling the 6 for $99 in two weeks.

The 5s is much better than the 5c. If you can get a 5s, go for it. The 5s has the A7 processer, which is much faster than the A6 found in the 5c, along with the Touch ID fingerprint scanner, and an 8 MP camera that takes beautiful shots and can record 120 fps slow-mo video. It will last a year longer than the 5c in terms of software updates as well.

I like both my 5c and my 5s. I'll always love my 5c, it's my first iPhone and I have a very happy experience with it. Just bought my second 5s (Sold the first to my guy because I didn't like it), I'm ready to give it another try. On iOS 8.1, the speed difference for safari, downloads, and animations is noticeable between the two models. As much as I adore my 5c, the 5s is definitely handling the new OS better.

Go 5S. 5C is the last of the non 64-bit iPhones... and as other have said, jumping up to that 64-bit A7 in the 5S (which is also the same basic chipset used in the iPad Air, iPad Mini 2, and iPad Mini 3) is future proofing yourself for a longer period of time.

Plus, the camera is better. It can shoot slo-mo video. It has the dual color "True Tone" flash. TouchID. The M7 motion coprocessor... and the metal body is gorgeous.

In complete honesty. It really depends what you will be wanting to use the phone for. You can go for a 5s or 6, but if a 5C does exactly what you want and more. Don't waste your money :-) if you want it for apps, phone calls and Internet usage, then it's a brilliant phone. However, if you want better results from the camera, faster processor and 64 bit. Then by all means, it is worth the extra money! X
