How do I know if my messages have been delivered on Whatsapp?

Last Seen Status on Whatsapp

Hi.
I messaged a friend in Turkey since i've been home from my holiday & they were last online on Sunday.
I have sent a few messages to them & all i keep seeng is the 1 tick to say my message has been sent to the server.
Being they have not replied to my message, does this mean that they have blocked me or may have problems their end with internet?
I keep checking the messages & i can still see the Last Seen status as Sunday.
Hope someone can help me please.

Once it reaches your device you get the second check. It doesn't mean that it's been read, but it means that it's been delivered to the device.
