Why can't I charge my iPhone 5?

why i cannot charge my ipnone 5

my battery was flat and i charge it for almost 3 hours, it shows sign of charging ,but doesn't really charge.i even tried with the new charger but still the same.

Since you've already tried a new charger, try a different outlet. BTW...are your chargers Apple authorized? If not that may be the problem. If they are, maybe you have a defective battery & should take it to the Apple Store. There was a recall for iPhone 5 batteries & yours could very well be in that bunch. Good Luck
