Iphone 5s will not send Videos longer than 1 minute in length.

thats a pretty large file- my guess is that anything longer would need to be compressed somehow

If you have a really long video you have the options of sending them via Email or Air Drop them.

iMessage will send longer videos then SMS

Email usually doesn't work for large videos. Air Drop works great. But you need to be close to who you're sending it to. I can send a 43 second video ok. But 1 minute won't work. I sent a 4 minute video to my Wife via Air Drop. Works great.
Note: This is true with any platform.
