How do I remove the banner that has my recent contacts?

I do not want my recent contacts to show in the banner that appears when I double click on the button to remove my open apps. Is there anyway that I can remove this?

This feature is no longer available in iOS 9. What are you seeing that you do not want?

Sorry.. there's currently no way to remove it in iOS 9.

It was in the App Switcher under iOS 8, but was moved to the Search screen in iOS 9.

I just discovered that you can go to Settings > General > Spotlight Search and turn [OFF] Contacts and the "recents" floating heads are not shown on the Search page... but you also lose the ability to search your contacts.

OK. Yeah. I thought they wanted it removed from the App Switcher. LOL
