Is AirPlay available to download?

I have an IPad, I think it may be a iPad Three, the Model number is MD371LL/A. I don't think I have "AirPlay" on it.
Is AirPlay available to download? I want to use my iPad with an Apple TV.

It isn't a download. It's already ingrained with the operating system.

As long as your ipad and apple tv are on the same WiFi network, you will see the airplay icon in control center. Swipe up from the bottom and you'll see it there.
