why wont my phone allow me to swipe songs in music/itunes

Having a lot of problems with phone but currently, I have a song currently playing in music app under radio. I cant stop song from playing. have looked here, iTunes, Iphone. told to hit edit button, swipe song, hit delete. there is no edit button, cant swipe the song and it is still playing. I turned down volume in app and now my phone doesn't ring or make any other sounds. help

You need to double tap the Home Button to bring up the app switcher locate the music app and swipe it up and away that will stop the music

You can also swipe up the control Center and pause the music
