How do I enable landscape mode on an IPhone 6+?

It doesn't go to landscape mode when I turn it on its side

Are you in Zoomed mode? Also is there a circle with a lock inside it by the battery?
If Zoomed: settings > display & brightness, display zoom and tap on view. If the lock is there: swipe up from the bottom of the screen for Control Centre and hit the button on the top far right to turn on and off rotation lock.

Slide up from the bottom, control center. Tap on icon on to turn off lock.
