How do I remove the 'other' from my iPad when syncing?

Synced my iPad wirelessly and via cable but the 'other' on the bar seems to have increased.

Other can be cache, iMessage attachments, settings, etc...

Best way to clear some of the "other" is to back the phone up to iTunes and restore it. Reload your backup and your other will be smaller, not gone, but should be less.
