Why am I not able to get emails on my iPad or iPhone, it says the connection to the server has failed?

Cannot get emails on my IPad or IPhone .. The connection to the server failed

Had this same problem a couple of month ago and had to change my password.

sounds like an issue with the email server- most times it self corrects- if it doesn't try deleting the account and re-adding
