How to make sure deleted songs on iPhone don't appear on iTunes

I recently deleted about 4gb of music on my iPhone since I needed space, how can I make sure when I sync from iTunes that the deleted songs don't reappear on my phone. I spent a lot of time doing this and would be very inconvenient doing it again on my laptop

When you plug in your phone stop the sync and go into your music section on iTunes where you sync your phone and unselect unwanted artists

When you plug into iTunes your phone will automatically want to sync the music you previously told it too. To permanently fix the issue you need to remove the songs checked off on your computer. When I delete a large quantity of music I don't like anymore I plug my phone in to the computer uncheck unwanted songs and re sync. This is the fastest way in the future
