What does "Compensation pour une copie priv?e *- MD793GP/A" meen? [IPAD AIR] CH-EDU

So I was looking at the prices for the iPad Air on the Swiss Edu store and I noticed this:

"Compensation pour une copie priv?e *- MD793GP/A" +CHF 7.36
(I tried looking for the asterix section and couldn't find it)

What does this mean? The US Edu store doesn't have that.

Any input/suggestions?

It means "compensation for private copying". In certain countries an additional tax is charged on devices that can download certain content. I'm in the US so I don't know the extent of it but this is the basics.
