Why can't I transfer all my music to my new Mac Air?

why can't i transfer ALL my music

I have a new mac air and transferred my iTunes from my old mac. the old mac does not have iCloud. it looks like the only music that transferred was I tunes purchased music. looks like the CD music I loaded did not? Ideas?

were the CD ripped items stored somewhere other than your iTunes library? Just find them on the old computer then move them to the new computer, and import to iTunes.
