I have never understood why there is no uninstall feature built into Macs. Does anyone know why that is? Maybe I'm overlooking something? I keep having to search the internet whenever I want to completely remove an application to ensure that I'm getting everything.

There is no un-install for Mac's because there is no "Registry" like with Windows. So Just like Karen said: "Drag the folder(s) to the trash and then empty it. For what Karen uses: just search the Mac App Store, there are several good apps there. I don't have a new Mac yet, so I can't give a real recommendation there.

For the most part just drag the application to the trash. Yes it probably leaves bits and pieces around but it doesn't seem to cause the sort of issues that it would for a Windows PC. That being said if I'm doing a lot of app clean out on my Mac, I use a program that gets all the extra files as well. CleanMyMac is the one I use, but there are others.

For the past few years I've used an app called AppCleaner on my MacBook and iMac; it works like a charm.

    AppZapper

You'll see that there are often several other files outside the app to be removed

    I also use CleanMyMac

I’ve been using AppZapper since I came to the light (2010).

I also use AppCleaner. It just auto-deletes the files. It's amazing.
