Why isn't there an uninstall feature built-in to OS X?

I have never understood why there is no uninstall feature built into Macs. Does anyone know why that is? Maybe I'm overlooking something? I keep having to search the internet whenever I want to completely remove an application to ensure that I'm getting everything.

There is no un-install for Mac's because there is no "Registry" like with Windows. So Just like Karen said: "Drag the folder(s) to the trash and then empty it. For what Karen uses: just search the Mac App Store, there are several good apps there. I don't have a new Mac yet, so I can't give a real recommendation there.

Why no uninstall?

AppZapper

You'll see that there are often several other files outside the app to be removed

I also use CleanMyMac
