My iPhone 5 screenshot not working, can anyone help?

Iphone 5 screenshot not working

Both the top button and the front button work independently, but when I press them together my screenshot function has stopped working. Any idea how to fix this?

Have you tried a simple reboot of your phone?

I had the same problem after I installed ios10.0.2 on my iPhone 5 . - my screenshot would no longer work .
Had to go to settings - general - accessibility- home button - - - switch on Rest Finger to Open
Then you need to reset your thumb print and it worked again .....
