Why does Safari request me to log in again in new tabs in social networks?

Before 8.0.2, I could hit 'Open in a new tab' on any LinkedIn or Facebook link and still be logged in when I went to the new tab.
Now after I've updated I can't seem to keep logged in, everytime I hit 'new tab' Safari says "Content not available" and I have to log in again. is there avfix for this?

I have a site like that. Used to stay logged in. Now I have to log in each time I open the tab.

Are you in private browsing mode by chance? That could cause this to happen.
