Can I run word and excel on a ipad ?

I will be getting a ipad. I will need to work from home for a while. Can the programs Excel and Word run on my ipad?

They can run on an iPad, but I believe you will need to pay for Office 365. I know iPhone version is free. I think OnCloud might help you out.
