I have lost contact with my email account

My email account works on my PC but not on my ipad

Have you made any changes? Did you recently change your password? Have you recently update your iPad with IOS 8?

Did you happen to setup two factor authentication? Apps need specific passwords which need to be change on the iPhone itself.
